After the past two weeks of video tapes released by Big Government’s website and aired extensively on Fox News, there is no doubt that ACORN’s improprieties go far deeper than a few ill trained employees. ACORN has even launched their own internal investigations into why two independent investigators, who aren’t even hired guns for any main stream media outlet, can expose ACORN by posing as a pimp and prostitute.

The willingness of ACORN employees to assist Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe, the two who exposed ACORN,  to assist in bringing in illegal, underage girls for prostitution, filing false income tax returns, and setting up a business that would allow an illegal operation to be “legal” reeks of deeper issues within the maize called “ACORN”.

Over the past decade, ACORN has received countless millions of taxpayer dollars, nearly a million from the Obama campaign, countless millions from private donations, and their links to SEIU and other Democratic and Progressive causes is unquestionable. They also have countless investigations underway into voter fraud occurring during the 2008 election cycle in many states. Several indictments and arrests have been made into the same voter fraud issues.

There must be an independent Federal Prosecutor appointed to investigate every single aspect of ACORN; their financial dealings, their activities with HUD money, and their voter registration/get out the vote activities. They must either be exposed as a criminal enterprise or cleared of all wrong doing once and for all. If this Administration fails to call for a Federal Prosecutor, then it brings on the appearance of covering the tracks for ACORN.

Mike Yost asks this question:

“ACORN operates right here in Florida with one office in the Orlando area, part of the District Rep. Corrine Brown represents. Why hasn’t Ms. Brown been the first to call for investigations into ACORN and totally clear their name, or prosecute any wrong doing found? It leads one to assume that Rep. Brown feels absolutely fine with the possibility that criminal activity by ACORN is perfectly legitimate to fund.”

Introduced in the House today, and passed by a 345-75 vote, was an Amendment to HR 3221- Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2009, which completely revokes all funding to ACORN.

Representative Corrine Brown voted against this amendment by roll call vote.

In light of the videos released by Big Government website, a Breitbart online publication, there are many instances where ACORN employees have committed acts of alleged facilitation of prostitution, violation of the Mann Act, facilitation of illegal immigration of underage children for prostitution, and many other violations of State and Federal Laws. No longer can anyone from ACORN claim that these are isolated incidents, rogue employees, or “conspiracy” against ACORN. Even ACORN has launched internal investigations into it’s practices and procedures.

Ms. Brown’s vote of NO , against defunding ACORN, is yet another feather in her cap of supporting, condoning, and even participation in acts of criminality. Her countless and recorded acts, her reprimand by the U.S. House, and her acts of receiving favoritism from other government entities is a long and extensive list. There are questions Ms. Brown needs to answer regarding any contributions to her campaigns from ACORN as well.

In a statement release by Michael “Mike” Yost, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 3rd Congressional District, he had this to say:

“This District deserves representation that isn’t going to vote to fully fund an enterprise like ACORN with taxpayers dollars. In this economic climate in the 3rd Congressional District, your Congresswoman should be making every attempt to allow you to keep as much of your hard earned income as she can. Instead, you have another vote for funding what appears to be a criminal enterprise at every level from Rep. Brown with taxpayers dollars. When it comes to Corrine Brown, it’s all about her and money, NOT about what is right for America.”

After viewing the 4th in a series of investigative reports by two of America’s real journalists, there can be no doubt that there is a pattern of facilitating criminal activity within ACORN that can no longer be ignored or blamed on bad employees.

I am calling for Congress to bring a full investigation of ACORN’s top level board members and to do so immediately. The outrage exposed in this video can not be “rogue employees” as ACORN employees in every office where video was made indicates corruption at the highest levels.

Furthermore, I am calling for the Justice Department to fully perform a forensic audit of ACORN’s books from the top down, closure of their offices until such investigation can be completed, and suspending any licenses they have to operate.

I am calling for the IRS to suspend ACORN’s 501(c)(3) status until such time that a full tax audit at a forensic level can be performed to account for U.S. Taxpayers dollars expenditures by every entity covered under the ACORN umbrella.

I am calling for the House of Representatives to Pass  HR 3288 as amended by Senator Johann and passed in the Senate, that fully de-funds ACORN’s housing unit by our government.

I am also asking Congress to introduce legislation to revoke any and all Federal Tax dollars for any branch or division of ACORN to be suspended until such time a full investigation is completed. In the event any criminal charges are brought against any ACORN employee, board member, founder, or organizer of ACORN, then ACORN will be banned from ever receiving Federal Funding for any division. Furthermore, any organizations that former ACORN board members, employees, or organizers become employed with, become involved with, or become board members, etc. will ALSO be revoked Federal Funding as long as former ACORN members are involved.

I am calling for every State’s Attorney General in which ACORN operates to also investigate ACORN for any State funding they may receive and to provide that information publicly. Furthermore, every State legislature must consider legislation that also de-funds ACORN in it’s entirety.

ACORN must be fully investigated, de-funded from any State, Local, or Federal funding, and prosecutions made of those involved in this alleged corruption and facilitation of criminal activity.
